Candidate Forums in Michigan
Attending and hosting candidate forums are effective and permissible ways for nonprofits to get to know the candidates in their area. Candidate forums provide you with a great opportunity to ask important questions about the issues facing your nonprofit and your community. Check out the list of candidate forums below and plan to attend one in your area! If a forum has not been scheduled in your area, consider coordinating one yourself (download A Nonprofit's Guide to Hosting A Candidate Forum).
Keep in mind that this list is self-reported and not comprehensive. Individuals planning to attend any forum listed here are advised to confirm the details of the event with the coordinating organization. You may request the addition of candidate forums to this list by contacting Tiffany Aurora at

We encourage you to attend candidate forums to learn about the candidates and to educate them on the nonprofit community. Questions that you may consider asking include:
- How will you work to strengthen the Michigan nonprofit community?
- How will you address the state structural deficit?
- How will you partner with nonprofits to help meet critical needs?
Scheduled Candidate Forums All of the 2008 candidate forums that we had listed have passed. Please visit our page on available VOTER GUIDES to learn more about the candidates, and remember to get out to the polls on November 4 between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to vote!
